Megasquirt installation, looks like spaghetti

I have had my 740 running megasquirt for a year or so, a few weeks back i finally fixed the tach-coil-thingy and the flexfuel sensor. Anywho it looks quite bad now in the glove box.

I need to move the relay coil as I can't drive the car with the box closed, the main relays klick every once in a while now after installing it. If I open the lid and pull the relay-tach-coil away from the main relay all is well.

My intentions are not to make anyone sick, but ask for tips on making the installation better now that everything is working.

Maybe ask those who dare to share pictures of their own installations?

What happens behind the passenger side kick panel, stays behind the passenger side kick panel.

The wagon is actually pretty neat there now. But only because I got a pre-built LS-MS harness (Goldbox).

Previously I had an MS3X stub harness, and a home made harness from the engine through the firewall. And a sort of mass profusion of wiring where they connected. With little bits of tape for labeling.

The late model 240 kick panel has a decent amount of room behind it. I had my MS box bolted to the sheetmetal in roughly the same spot the Bosch ECU was. A

I think I have a pic most of the way through the install:

That’s pretty easy, main trunk is fully populated with wires. They’re just waiting for something to do.
All the connectors can be de-pinned. So it’s just an hour or so to add something and re-loom it all.
But yeah, there’s quicker ways to do it :)

Wow, I thought I was the only one with the idea of putting MS into the glovebox. Planning on doing a neat MicroSquirt install in there, with relays N wires ect.. MAP sensor too, I can already feel the laugh generator asking passenger to "Hey can you grab something in the glovebox please"

OP, just a question, what flexfuel sensor are you running ?

you can ask mark or john, I'm a threat to drop an MS in a glovebox in a second, along with a fuse panel for it lol

Don't take my comment for anything other than admiration tinged with envy.

And I'm here, wanting to do clean things, using tons of heat shrink and zip ties everywhere, then I realize I wired the thing backward and now I gotta take it all apart.

I can understand the "messy looking" builds more now.
