So ive deicded id rather not turbo my 240 but to just tune the n/a block.

So what can i do to get more power out of it? I do have a 16v head... and all the conversion parts including the notiched pistons. maybe an option?

Id really rather have power on-demand vs turbo lagg and less mpg.

So heres what i can think of:
16V?
Port head
Larger Exhaust
Electric fan conversion
Cold air intake?

Its a 1992 240 with lh 2.4

Thanks guys!!

LOL. Custom pistons and rods, maybe a crank, get some nice high compression and tight squish, etc.

You'll end up with less power than a mild turbo build though, and probably worse fuel economy too.

You'll have more power, sooner in the powerband, with a stock B230FT compared to a 16V N/A. You'll also have a metric assload more torque. The 16V will feel more "laggy" than the turbo.

Just sayin'. ;)

I have no complaints about the powerband of my '92 240 w/B230F and a 13c. It's pretty much instant boost. I bought it with the turbo already added, but given the choice, I'd have done it this way rather than a 16v swap that seems more difficult with piston swapping, intake that doesn't fit, distributor mods, etc. And the 16v won't be as powerful without a lot more money, and it won't make as much torque.

Too nice a car not to turbo.
Sell what you have immediately (try to get some of your money back). Swap in a $500 known good driveline and plug in turbo LH EZK boxes.

Cus after the davis autox and the n/a cars kicking all the turbo cars buts. thats why im thing of going this way :)

Well, sure, that may be true if you're only driving in 1st and 2nd gear, and no further than 50 feet between turns, staying under 35mph.

In real life, however, this just isn't the case. ;-)

Check the EvW thread, and see how many N/A cars accelerate quicker than a 16-second ET. I think the current count is 0.

rev it higher, change engine management and accomodate tune for rev limit increase. Thats going to yield the biggest power increase from N/A.

16valve head. Best bang for your buck. Talk to SDTURBO

Or you could get a 531 cylinder head, skim some off for higher compression, cometic head gasket and a K or VX cam with adjustable cam wheel. Then find a 2.5 liter penta crankshaft setup, that will probably help you out a bit. Make sure you have a good exhaust setup like a header and 2.5" Hi flow system.
