This past weekend, my son and I ran his '92 944T as Safety Sweep (Fast Sweep) at the Waste Management Winter Rally. The car is pretty much stock, except for the exhaust, light bar, and rear suspension. The Nivomats were replaced with 275 lb, 13" springs and KYB GAJ shocks.

All went well until we hit an unseen, 1' x 1' deep ditch, bent the rim, and de-beaded the front left tire. (Changing a tire in the mud is so much fun!) We also killed the stock front struts, so we will be replacing them with Bilstein HD's very soon.

[BTW, what's the official name of these rims. I got them on a 960, but the alloy wheel thread doesn't show them.]

Those are in the wheel thread somewhere. They are called Aries. I think I still have one in storage I will sell if you are looking to buy one.

It appears that the picture of an Aries in the wheel thread no longer works.

I need to check my collection of rims to see if I need a replacement. I probably do because cars come with sets of 4, not 5. (I have at least 5 sets of rims that will fit the car...)
