92 240 - Backfire and Stall

Got an email from a guy I know with a 92 240. Said he was merging on an expressway - romped it and the car backfired and stalled. It would restart but run real rough like maybe 3 cyl? Nothing hopped...

That small screw driver I think thats in the one pic.....thats what I use to hold the brushes back when I put them in - lol. They dont seem to be that high strung like the Bosch brushes.

I had one of these that was REALLY fried totally apart (housing totally removed, etc) - its bearings sounded like sand - had 380k on it before it went. 99% of any issues in these is at the shown...

EZK - Coil - Spark Issue

Wondering if anyone here knows how the coil gets 12V - is it switched from the EZK? Or straight from the ignition switch? The schematics leave alot of possibilities and I have found many connectors...

When it aligned with the bell housing, the tube lined up about 1/8 - 3/16" to the rear of the pan 'port'. That port on the pan is so soft it can be tweaked also - so I went over it...
